Looking for a guitarist, bass player, and a drummer! You MUST live in the south central/western Pennsylvania area (I live in Bedford County).
Rhythm guitarist and keyboard player will be considered too!
At the moment, I am open to either starting a band playing mostly metal, or a band playing a lot of classic rock. I would prefer to start a band from scratch, as opposed to joining an existing one, mostly due to the list of songs I know and practice and perform well being a little odder than most already established bands would be willing to try. Here it is:
Almost any Ozzy-era Black Sabbath song Flying High Again, Bark At The Moon, Goodbye To Romance,
I Don't Know, Crazy Train, Mr. Crowley, Shot in the Dark, No More Tears (Ozzy) Stealin', Sweet Lorraine, The Wizard, others (Uriah Heep) Couldn't Get It Right (Climax Blues Band) My Sharona, Good Girls Don't (The Knack) Piano Man (Billy Joel) Smoke On The Water (Deep Purple of course... I know other DP songs also) Lookin' Out My Back Door, Proud Mary - CCR The Old Man Down The Road - John Fogarty Little Help From My Friends (Joe Cocker version) Rock On (David Essex) Lady Madonna, Come Together, While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Beatles, I know others also) Let Her Cry (Hootie and The Blowfish) FreeBird (for those inevitable "play some 'skynyrd!" moments) Angel Eyes (Jeff Healy) Basket Case, When I Come Around (Green Day) Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad (MeatLoaf) Handle With Care, End of the Line (Traveling Wilburys) Nights In White Satin (Moody Blues) Behind Blue Eyes (Who) House of the Rising Sun, It's My Life, We Gotta Get Out Of This Place, Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (Animals) Wonderful Tonight (Clapton) Jack and Diane (John Cougar) Refugee, Don't Do Me Like That, Breakdown, Runnin Down A Dream, Free Fallin', You Got Lucky, Won't Back Down (Tom Petty) Like a Rolling Stone, Knockin On Heaven's Door (Dylan) White Room, Sunshine of Your Love (Cream) Under My Thumb, Honky Tonk Woman, Mother's Little Helper, Paint it Black, Get off of My Cloud (Stones.. interested in others from them also) Sweet Child Of Mine (GnR) Blinded By The Light, Spirits In The Night (Springsteen) House of Pain (Faster Pussycat) Burnin For You, See You In Black, Harvest Moon (BOC) Hey Jealousy (Gin Blossums) The Middle (Jimmy Eat World) Excitable Boy, Werewolves of London (Warren Zevon) Brown Eyed Girl (Van Morrison) Cat's In The Cradle (Harry Chapin) Wild World (Cat Stevens) Stand By Me (Ben E. King) You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet, Takin Care Of Business (BTO) Rock This Town, Stray Cat Strut (Stray Cats) Midnight Rider (Greg Allman) Symphony of Destruction, Trust (Megadeth) Hard Luck Woman, I Love It Loud, Rock n Roll All Nite (Kiss) American Pie (McClean) Me and Bobby McGee Long Cool Woman In A Black Dress (Hollies) Man In The Box (Alice In Chains) Whiskey in the Jar, Sad But True (Metallica) Jailbreak, Boys Are Back in Town, Whiskey in the Jar (Thin Lizzy) Santaria - Sublime The Breakup Song - Greg Kihn Band Learning To Fly, Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, Have a Cigar (Pink Floyd) I Melt With You - (Modern English) Plush, Interstate Love Song - (Stone Temple Pilots) Breakdown, Running Down A Dream, Free Fallin, I Won't Back Down, Refugee, Don't Do Me Like That, You Got Lucky - (Tom Petty) Can't You See (Marshall Tucker Band) Walk Away (James Gang) Cross-Eyed Mary, Locomotive Breath, Aqualung (Jethro Tull) Squeeze Box, Won't Get Fooled Again (The Who) Touch of Grey, Casey Jones (Grateful Dead)
Definitely not a complete list, as there is still a lot of songs that I know, but don't regularly practice that I didn't think of when compiling the list. I plan to also start practicing heavier stuff soon (Slayer, Hatebreed, etc) to get my voice in tune for that style.
I have my own equipment.
I constantly work to improve and maintain my voice, using training methods outlined by Mark Baxter. I am quite dedicated to this, and I don't plan giving up until I see my goal, no matter how long it takes. If you've heard me in the past and didn't think I was that good, I urge you to give me another listen, I've improved greatly over the past several months. (this being written 10/8/04) I hope to have some samples of my singing in mp3 format on here soon.
