Cinder Dumps - Various Views

Various views of the ridges of slag. It is unknown whether these are completely comprised of slag/waste from the furnace, or if there were actual natural hills here first that were dumped upon. It's entirely possible that it's all slag, given the amount of time the furnace was in operation, about about 45 years all together. The dark portion of rock on the cliff face, directly below what looks like a pine tree on top, was known to some of the local youth as "The Bull Dog" back in the 80's. As can be seen from the tracks, this area is a popular spot for local ATV enthusiasts.
