For once, I was rather well prepared for the shit-storm that was in our forecast.

This was my dad’s old snow blower. It had been sitting around in a broken-down state for many, many years. In fact, I have never ran the thing since my dad died almost 15 years ago, so I’m not real sure at what point it stopped working. I began working on it last fall when I got on a kick to fix various things with small engines, and found that it basically just needed a new carburetor. I did get to run it briefly during our first little snow a couple of months back, but it was a very wet snow and barely enough to warrant even using a snow blower, and the thing clogged up a lot just like I remember my dad saying about it under such conditions. So, this was the first big test for it, and it did great!
A few other views looking up and down our road:

We’re apparently supposed to get even more snow by tomorrow, ugh… I fucking hate winter.
